Frankfurt, 13 February 2024: Peter Herkenhoff joined GFD Financial Communications in Frankfurt at the beginning of the year as Head of Legal Communications for law firms.The 58-year-old communications expert was most recently Head of Corporate Communications at the leading European law firm Noerr in Frankfurt; before that, he was Corporate Communications Manager Germany and responsible for external communications at the global commercial law firm Hogan Lovells in Düsseldorf.

"With his expertise, we want to further develop the business area and offer law firms and other professional service firms the full range of integrated communications. All too often, the communicative potential of medium-sized law firms in particular is not or only insufficiently utilised."

With his extensive training, Herkenhoff has all the prerequisites for comprehensive client support: The certified crisis communications manager (DGfKM) communicated the corporate strategy and investment advice of the Düsseldorf-based private client bank Targobank as a press spokesman before moving to the law firm's communications department. He also has extensive journalistic experience. For more than ten years, he reported from Munich, Frankfurt, London and New York for Börse Online, Die Telebörse, Die Welt, Financial Times Deutschland and Dow Jones, among others.

The former police officer in the Federal Border Guard studied economics in Kiel and Cologne and graduated from the Cologne School of Journalism.
