ESG at GFD
Sustainability
GFD Finanzkommunikation is committed to sustainable business practices. We integrate environmental and social considerations as well as good and honest corporate governance ("Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance" – ESG) into our daily work and advise our customers along these topics.
We are convinced that the integration of ESG standards contributes to minimizing business risks, reducing costs and achieving sustainable business success.
To this end, we regularly raise awareness of ESG issues among our colleagues and business partners, highlight their relevance for sustainable business success, and work together to achieve continuous improvement along these lines. Our own actions are also guided by these principles.
GFD Finanzkommunikation focuses on the following topics:
Environment
climate neutrality,
avoidance of pollution
Social
employee satisfaction, diversity,
social commitment
Corporate Governance
compliance with ethical standards,
risk management, compliance
Environment
Climate Neutrality
For climate protection reasons, GFD avoids and reduces CO₂ emissions wherever possible. This applies, for example, to the careful consideration of the necessity of business trips and the mindful use of electricity and heating.
GFD uses 100% green electricity for its offices.
In principle, according to the GFD Travel Policy, domestic flights are prohibited. At the same time, we promote the use of local and long-distance public transport by providing employees with Bahn Cards and RMV tickets.
GFD consistently compensates for unavoidable emissions through environmental projects. For this purpose, we work together with MyClimate, which has certified us accordingly as a climate-neutral company. We calculate the carbon footprint in accordance with the MyClimate specifications, analogous to the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol (WRI and WBCSD, 2004), which takes into account all direct greenhouse gas emissions, all indirect emissions from the consumption of electricity, district heating and cooling, and all other relevant indirect emissions.
Environment
Avoidance of Pollution
In order to avoid environmental pollution, GFD pays particular attention to the mindful use of office materials and follows a strict waste separation policy that allows for high recycling rates.
„Before you print – think about the environment"
The printing preferences on all computers automatically select the most resource-efficient option and the addition "Before you print - think about the environment", which is integrated by default in our email signatures, addresses both GFD employees and our business partners.
Social
Employee Satisfaction
The satisfaction of our employees is a basic prerequisite for the quality of our advisory services.
cooperation, fair play, appreciation
Accordingly, GFD pays attention to working conditions that allow employees to develop their full potential. This includes state-of-the-art IT equipment – also for the home office –, competitive and performance-based remuneration as well as a collegial, fair and appreciative working atmosphere.
These criteria are regularly discussed and ensured, not only within the framework of the annual staff development meetings.
Social
Diversity
Diversity in the sense of different uniqueness is part of GFD's DNA.
By this, we mean much more than a gender assignment, a migration background or an age statement.
This understanding is lived day by day right up to the management.
Social
Social Commitment
Since the founding of GFD in 1995, we have been socially committed.
Since the founding of GFD in 1995, we have been socially committed. In addition to donations for charitable, local institutions such as Kinderkrebshilfe Frankfurt, we have also regularly supported organisations such as Doctors without Borders over the years.
In addition, we encourage and support our colleagues in their extra-occupational voluntary activities with, among other things, one day of special leave per year.
