Networking on an equal footing – and an additional platform for investors and decision-makers in the DACH region
Yesterday, the Munich Investment Roundtable at the Franziskaner brought together over 100 invited guests from the financial sector. The highlight of the evening: informative discussions that no diary can plan for, and a first-hand insight into the new media platform CNBC DACH.
Guidance rather than an information overload: Introducing CNBC DACH
In a relaxed atmosphere, curiosity met experience. This gave rise to what sets the Munich Investment Stammtisch apart: networking on an equal footing, with conversations that leave a lasting impression. The focus of the evening was Rusmir Nefić, founder and CEO of CNBC DACH. He provided an insight into the remit of the new media platform. His key message: the markets are constantly in flux, and it is not information that is in short supply, but the ability to make sense of it. This is backed up by the figures CNBC uses to underpin its claim. According to its own figures, the brand reaches around 500 million people per month worldwide, making it the global number one among business media outlets. In the DACH region, CNBC reaches 2.5 million high-income adults every month. Two out of three people in CNBC’s audience are business decision-makers, and 74 per cent trade shares themselves.
Three promises: guidance, access, networking
Nefić outlined CNBC DACH’s strategy:
- Focus: In-depth analysis and clarity that enables decision-making. The service aims to deliver business and financial news where and how decision-makers need it.
- Access: Live interviews with decision-makers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. After all, the most valuable insights often emerge through conversation.
- Networking: From 2027, live videos, analyses, newsletters, podcasts and events are set to be seamlessly integrated. In addition, there will be exclusive CEO and CFO councils to facilitate direct dialogue at the highest level.
The service will be launched in German in early 2027. The planned locations are Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Berlin and Vienna.
From the start in New York to Davos
CNBC DACH was first announced in January 2026: at CNBC’s global headquarters, on the New York Stock Exchange and at CNBC House during the World Economic Forum in Davos. The founders’ vision is clearly articulated. Rusmir Nefić says: “Our aim is to give executives from across the DACH region a strong voice and to create a space where they can stay informed, follow discussions, exchange ideas, share insights and get actively involved.”
What this means for the financial sector
For asset managers, companies and financial service providers, CNBC DACH opens up an additional platform specifically aimed at investors and decision-makers in the German-speaking world. Guests at the event saw this as an important step forward for stock market and financial reporting in Europe. In an age of AI and a flood of content, investment in quality journalism is becoming increasingly important.
Conclusion: For financial market players in particular, what matters is how expertise is showcased and how the right target audiences are reached. CNBC DACH promises to provide a platform for precisely this: visibility for companies, decision-makers and innovations, as well as connecting the DACH economy with global markets and trends.
